FRACTIONAL SYSTEMS

Garage Project II
Fri, 25.06.2010–Sat, 25.09.2010

MAK Center L.A., Mackey Garage Top

With the exhibition "Fractional Systems" the new building of the Mackey Garages was opened.

With a radical sound-performance of Sara Glaxia the MAK Center opened the exhibition “Fractional Systems” curated by Peter Noever. More than 300 guests attended the opening to see the site-responsive works especially created for the occasion by Franz Graf, Raymond Pettibon, Elke Krystufek, Hernán Diáz Alonso/Xefirotarch, and the next ENTERprise – architects. A film program accompanies the interventions at the garages, curated by artists John Baldessari, Heinrich Dunst and Peter Kogler that refer to the new room at the Garage Top (video works by Judy Fiskin, Kurt Kren †, Claudia Kugler, Sonia Leimer, Tina Schulz and Nadim Vardag.)
