However, seating that was characteristic of the era was missing. With iconic, internationally known examples, the exhibition “SITZEN 69” REVISITED expands the view of seating intended in Sitzen 69. At that time, under the influence of Pop Art and the era of space travel, innovative design emerged in the furniture sector, including many designs that are now regarded as “design classics.”until 29 Mar 2020 Lenka Sršňová – ColorLOVELenka Sršňová is one of the most outstanding Slovakian fashion designers of her generation. Her professional career began in 2009 following her program of study at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. She has in the meantime been honored twice with the Slovak Design Award (2015 and 2019) for her fashion collections. The exhibition provides insight into Lenka Sršňová’s work to date in the form of an interdisciplinary installation. In addition to models, fashion photographs, graphic works, videos, and fashion objects can be seen that illustrate her many cooperative projects with other young Slovakian designers and that have significantly influenced her colorful world.20 Nov 2019 – 15 Jan 2020 Urban Market (Winter Edition)The popular market for independent fashion, design, and arts and crafts with an extensive supporting program is taking place for the second time in the beautiful facilities of the Gymnasium Gamča in the city center of Bratislava.6 – 8 Dec 2019 The MAK ON TOUR to Bratislava is financially supported by the EU program Interreg V-A Slovakia-Austria (Project "Design & Innovation").
