Can interdisciplinary cooperation produce ground-breaking solutions in the field of climate care? At this conference, international players from the realms of architecture, art, design, the environment and economics form four panels to discuss our collective responsibility to halt, or at least mitigate, climate change: Eat Love, Circular Society, Land Matters and Natural Technology. EAT LOVE is also the motto of a mobile studio/think tank station, which is touring the city from May to October 2021. In collaboration with numerous partners, the city is rediscovered along with new forms of urbanism that originate with the local residents themselves. Taking nature’s established winning formula as point of departure, the CIRCULAR SOCIETY panel explores how to base our economies on biological and technical cycles and thereby transition from a linear concept of “take, use, waste” to a circular mode of operation. There is a focus on key areas such as food, textiles/fashion, and the building industry while highlighting some outstanding initiatives in these fields. We discuss a new mode of posthuman feminist phenomenology that understands our bodies as being fundamentally part of the natural world and not separate from or privileged to it.
