The VIENNA BIENNALE FOR CHANGE 2019 focuses on brave visions on handling
artificial intelligence and new technologies, on shaping innovative ways of work, on new ways of living together, and on responsible consumption.
In the exhibition UNCANNY VALUES, the MAK is exploring one of the most important subjects of the coming decades, one that has significant consequences for all areas of our lives: artificial intelligence (AI). The reinstallation of the MAK DESIGN LAB positions design as a motor of sustainable change. The exhibition project CLIMATE CHANGE! shows the importance of transformation design for a necessary turnaround of climate change. Five design installations of the well-known Viennese design studio EOOS will outline images and stories of a new way of life. The focus of SPACE AND EXPERIENCE is on the questions of what constitutes “better living and how architecture matters here. The exhibition FUTURE FACTORY presents trendsetting ideas on how neighbourhood production can be experienced.
