Your safety is important to us. Therefore, until further notice, masks are mandatory throughout the entire house and we ask you to bring personal headphones (standard 3.5 mm connection) to the tours if possible. Alternatively, disposable headphones can be purchased for € 1 at the ticket office.

The MAK offers a wide range of educational programs for various interest groups. Our regular program provides an overview, while our special tours are an invitation to delve that bit deeper. In addition to guided tours with curators, which facilitate deeper thematic insights, guided tours with designers, artists, and architects invite visitors to communicate with creatives directly.

All tours are held in German and last for 1 hour unless stated otherwise. Attendance fee: € 3.50 (60 min.) / € 5 (90 min.)  per person unless stated otherwise. MAK Annual Ticket Holders can participate in one tour for free. Free for holders of the “Hunger auf Kunst und Kultur-Pass”.

Pop-Up Exhibition 5: CREATIVE CLIMATE CARE
A cooperation between the MAK and the University of Applied Arts Vienna
In her exhibition at the MAK, artist Antonia Rippel-Stefanska addresses the issue from which reality of life we approach the topic of climate care and which new fields and options for action shape the structure and dynamics of family as a reaction towards social change.

The exhibition cooperation CREATIVE CLIMATE CARE explores topics pertaining to the climate, environment, and sustainability and the contribution of design, architecture, and art to developing a new mindset for active climate care.

ADOLF LOOS: Private Houses
One of the most important Austrian architects of the 20th century, Adolf Loos concentrated on designing residential buildings all his life. The exhibition focuses on private homes, though by way of contrast it also presents Loos’s most important social housing projects. Family homes, villas, and country houses, for the most part luxuriously furnished and designed for a middle-class clientele, are juxtaposed with revolutionary social projects such as those Loos designed for the municipality of Vienna. The exhibition also presents design drawings, plans, photographs, and models from the Albertina’s Adolf Loos Archive.
