Caroline CZECZOWICZKA

In 1953, Caroline Czeczowiczka when visiting the MAK recognized two Chinese tomb sculptures from her collection seized during the NS regime. The objects had entered the MAK as part of the donation by Anton Exner in 1946. It took another five years for a restitution settlement and on 31 January 1959 the two tomb figures were restituted.
