In March 1939, the MAK via the Central Office for Monument Preservation acquired for 550 Reichsmarks seven objects from the collection of Dr. Ernst Dub, who had died in 1935. In September 1949, these seven objects were restituted after the purchase price had been repaid. In addition, a lidded vase from the Dub collection that had entered the MAK via Anton Exner was also restituted.
