MAK Design Kids: Create Your Own Algae Fabrics! with Fashion Designer Cindy Fodor

In this workshop, we will dive into the world of a research-based fashion designer who combines fashion and science. Together, we will cook colorful fabrics made from algae and turn them into really cool materials. You will get to mix colors and add exciting things like fabric scraps or ground food. By doing so, you will create small works of art with unique surfaces—and, of course, you can take your own fabrics home with you.

MAK Design Kids takes place as part of the Klima Biennale Wien.

THE FORMAT MAK DESIGN KIDS
Workshop for 8- to 12-year-olds (unaccompanied): In two-hour workshops, the MAK Design Kids turn their attention to furniture, fashion, patterns, and more while always keeping an eye on digital developments. The children will get to know design processes, develop their own ideas, try new techniques, or learn how to work with special materials. Every 1st Saturday of the month (except July, August, December).
