MAK Columned Main Hall

(alternative date for 02.09.2018)
with Maria Welzig, architecture historian

On the Margaretengürtel, the legendary “Ringstraße of the proletariat,“ there is a collection of the various trends in Viennese public housing complexes within a small area—with the very first public housing unit from Hubert Gessner from after 1918, to the originally much more radically planned Reumannhof, up to the anti-monumental, New Objective solution by Josef Frank and the architect duo Judtmann/Riss.
