Here, the interplay between the chosen material and digital precision is unique. In this MAK-it!, participants can design and build a bench made of recycled material using a Shaper Hand CNC milling machine. The elements are assembled in a smart way and stay together without glue. In the context of the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK, the innovative works will be exhibited. They can be presented at an event and subsequently be taken home.

Friday, 13.9.2024, 4 pm, to Sunday, 15.9.2024, noon
On Friday, 13 September, the kick-off will take place together at 4 pm. After an inspiring tour of the MAK themed “Craft Meets Hightech,” Yves Ebnöther will introduce the participants to the design processes, and we will begin with brainstorming and design accompanied by an aperitif.

On Saturday we will start with the practical work and in two and a half hour slots we will mill with Shaper Hand CNC milling machines instructed by Yves Ebnöther and experts. Please book your slot in advance.

On Sunday morning at 10 am, we will finish building the piece of furniture and smooth and polish together. The final come together will be accompanied by coffee and croissants.
