How can we help turn the European Union (EU) into a global technology governance power? Why are norms and standards hidden champions of tomorrow’s EU in the world? How can we guarantee fundamental and human rights throughout digital space, and how can we make artificial intelligence democracy’s best friend?
On 19 September 2019, we welcome Marietje Schaake, a renowned pioneer of European tech politics and until this summer a Member of the European Parliament to deliver our 3rd Tipping Point Talk after Francis Fukuyama and Timothy Snyder.
Schaake’s lecture on the democracy-digitality nexus will be followed by a stage conversation with Lucy Bernholz, Senior Research Scholar at Stanford University's Center on Philanthropy, Civil Society, Krzysztof Izdebski, Policy Director at ePantswo Foundation in Warsaw and Lucia Sioli, Director for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Industry at the European Commission in Brussels.Thursday, 19 September 2019
