In mass-produced articles, formal quality has been exchanged for universal usability. The items reclaim their identity as stylized images. The designer Andreas Feldinger's intervention concerns the mass-produced Ikea storage system "Ivar," endowing it with an unmistakable quality without changing its form. This collaboration is another joint venture between a designer and industry initiated by the MAK Design Info Pool in its series, "Design Showcases 2002."
