Creative Climate Care Gallery

The Los Angeles artist Raymond Pettibon’s work centers around the exploration of drawing and text. Between 1978 and 1998, Pettibon published more than 100 booklets in small photocopied editions which center around topics as sexual anxiety, the femme fatale, Christianity, punk culture, and violence.

On the occasion of the publication of the book ‘Raymond Pettibon: The Books 1978–1998’, which offers a comprehensive bibliography and documentation of the booklets for the first time, the MAK presents a selection of drawings, booklets, and materials from the artist’s archive (14 Feb – 2 March 2001).

In this second part of the exhibition (7 March – 6 May 2001) we see a wall painting by Raymond Pettibon in the MAK Gallery.
