The MAK will open its doors once again on Whitmonday, 1 June 2020. Visit our current special exhibitions, in particular the large-scale exhibitions SHOW OFF: Austrian Fashion Design and BENTWOOD AND BEYOND: Thonet and Modern Furniture Design. The exhibitions HUMAN BY DESIGN and IN MACHINE WE TRUST may be seen for a further week.
Starting on 16 June, we will be presenting our new exhibition RAIMUND ABRAHAM: Angles and Angels. Drawings Models Prototypes. A new series of pop-up exhibitions on the theme of CREATIVE CLIMATE CARE will be starting concurrently, in cooperation with the University of Applied Arts Vienna. The entire MAK DESIGN LAB and the presentation HELMUT LANG ARCHIVE: An Intervention by Helmut Lang will also be accessible once again.
On Wednesday, 1 July 2020, the other collections will be reopened.
From Wednesday, 1 July 2020, the MAK Reading Room will only be available for use after prior registration and appointment by calling T. 0171136 259 or library@mak.at. From Tuesday, 1 September 2020, it will be open again during the regular opening hours.
