Vienna 1900 at the MAK
With the reorganization of its permanent collection on Vienna around 1900, the MAK resolutely continues its policy of recent years of interpreting its collections according to recent contemporary criteria. A new perspective on Vienna around 1900, centered on such MAK exhibitions as The Women Artists of the Wiener Werkstätte and the diverse narratives generated thereby, aims to reveal the essence of this formative epoch. Besides treasures from the museum’s own collection, the reorganization will incorporate outstanding objects on loan.

Vienna 1900 at the Leopold Museum
With its presentation of the collection, the Leopold Museum is creating an opulent tableau which affords uniquely rich and complex insights into the fascination of Vienna around 1900 and the atmosphere of this vibrant time.

The MAK and the Leopold Museum are linked by a joint fascination for Viennese Modernism and epochal Viennese arts and crafts around 1900.
