KUNSTRASEN [Artificial Turf]

Linking the MAK with the University of Applied Arts

The MAK garden will be open and freely accessible during fine weather in the summer months from Tuesday to Sunday during museum opening hours. Access to the KUNSTRASEN will be via a new entrance directly from the Fritz-Wotruba-Promenade or via the University of Applied Arts.
The connecting gate between the MAK and the University will in future be permanently open during museum hours. Thus the sculptures Door to the Garden by Walter Pichler and the MAK Terrace Plateau by Peter Noever can henceforth be seen at close quarters—though as a spatial sculpture the Terrace Plateau itself will be out of bounds. The campaign and theme for the KUNSTRASEN were created by graphic designers Nora Delugan and Vitus Vogl-Fernheim within the framework of a cooperation with the Class for Ideas in Graphic Design & Advertising at the University of Applied Arts.

The garden is part of the MAK – Museum of Applied Arts.

Opening hours during the summer months (depending on the weather, from May to October):
Tue 10 am–9 pm
Wed–Sun 10 am–6 pm
