Klosterarbeiten are a traditional form of religious folk art that have been made primarily in convents since the late 17th century.

In this three-day workshop, Leni Frodl and Elisabeth Mayrhofer introduce participants to this traditional craft. With expert guidance and meticulous attention to detail, participants will create their own individual pieces: a floral arrangement or a so-called Haussegen (house blessing). A decorative frame is created around a personally chosen central element using precious materials such as gold and silver wire, wax, beads, and cut glass. The focus is on the meditative and spiritual qualities of this highly intricate and time-intensive craft.
