Good posters achieve their mission in condensed form. They lead the struggle to win our attention in day-to-day culture. They surprise, annoy, amaze, and leave a mark on our visual memory. "100 Best Posters" presents the most powerful examples in the MAK. Created back in 1966, the advertising poster competition is judged by an international expert jury and has gradually become the most important institution of its kind in the German-speaking countries. Thematically, the exhibition and catalogue deal with "Art versus Design".

With the MAK as venue, the exhibition has a proper location in Austria for the first time. Due to its size, the display arranged by the Library and Works on Paper Collection will take place in the MAK Exhibition Hall.

Curator Peter Klinger

Jury Members Dominik Geissbuehler, Tania Prill, Klaus Hesse, Jianping He, Kurt Dornig
