Susanne Bisovsky (born 1968) is a graduate of the Vienna University of Applied Arts, where she studied in the master class of Helmut Lang. Her exhibition centers on various aspects of rural Tracht (traditional national dress). Bisovsky’s interpretations present Tracht and its visual function in their original sense, at the same time broadened by the context of fashion/history/discontinuity. At the focal point of the exhibition are three figurines, whose garments communicate with one another in a variety of ways. The exhibition will also present designs from her collections as well as a film.
