ABOUT CANTUS NOVUS WIEN
The chamber choir Cantus Novus Wien consists of dedicated singers at the Wiener Diözesankonservatorium für Kirchenmusik (Vienna Diocesan Conservatory for Church Music). Since 2001, it has been headed by Thomas Holmes. With vocal precision work and an intensive engagement with the music, Cantus Novus Wien aims to turn every concert into a special sound experience in the respective space. In 2018, Cantus Novus Wien was awarded the title “Choir of the Year” by the Chorforum Wien (Choir Forum Vienna) for its excellent choir work. It excels with its broad stylistic spectrum at the highest level.
