This major interactive exhibition was curated based on the unique private collection of graphic designer Claus Krieger, which comprises some 150 construction kits from the years 1890 to 1990. Numerous ingenious variants were developed back then to create connections that were durable yet easily taken apart. Of the once countless toy construction kits—during this period, some 900 companies produced them in the German-speaking world alone—only a few are still manufactured today.

Exclusively for this exhibition, rare and historical construction kits have been reproduced for visitors to play with. Visitors can experiment and develop new ideas right in the middle of the Columned Main Hall, the Works on Paper Room, and the DIREKTION FÜR ALLE!
