‘This by the Light of That …’, a joint project by New York artist Glen Seator and Toronto-based designer Bruce Mau, dealt with typography, language, and signage. Operating with different alphabets, several stacked neon sign constructions of different colors and configurations illuminated and elucidated the spaces of the Schindler House.

The exhibition was accompanied by an abstract promotional campaign throughout Los Angeles including 25 large scale billboards or other mass media print formats that use images of the sculptures in the house, but not make any direct reference to the show or the house, and thus reversed the context of advertising, corporate identity, and product placement.
