The MAK Center in Los Angeles prepared the exhibition In Between: Art and Architecture to complement the major retrospective The Architecture of R. M. Schindler. This project, aimed at turning the Schindler House on Kings Road into an exhibition object, is presented in Vienna in a modified form.
The exhibition is developed around the idea of the Schindler House as a living object, as an architectural space both generating artistic and intellectual references and being animated by them. The presentation of these works and interventions reveals the limitless potential of the Schindler House as an experimental project.
"Hallway. In Between: Art and Architecture" also expands the boundaries of the exhibition space by including public interventions.
