Pursuing an outside-the-box approach, the working exhibition THE MAGIC OF DIVERSITY. The MAK as Applied Space of the Future invites an in-depth engagement with the MAK collection and its significance for contemporary cultural creativity. Central elements little shown exhibits that prompt a processual re-reading of the collection.
Following up on the MAP – Memory and Progress. The MAK Explores Its project, THE MAGIC OF DIVERSITY deepens the future-oriented exploration of the MAK’s institutional profile and conceptual mandate. In a cross-collection presentation of applied art and design, architecture and contemporary art, the museum’s collection curators will outline historical developments and central thematic issues in relation to key works of the historically grown collection.
