International Exhibition
The German artist Ulrike Grossarth, who lives in Berlin, is interested in the relationship of body and space as well as in the connections between things and the people that use them. These are the issues Grossarth deals with in various media: actions, videos, object installations and drawings. In the exhibition "red/green, grey" the artist attempts to leave this classical field of dichotomies and complementary elements and to allow for structures before any words. The performance "Subject of Study" will take place during the exhibition: ten people will act in response to a "pool" of certain objects in various colors and proportions and transform the exhibition / action space into an experimental field. Ulrike Grossarth participated in the documenta X in 1997.
"red/green, grey / Subject of Study" is a cooperation of the MAK, Vienna/A, the Bayerisches Staatsschauspiel/Marstall, Munich/G, and the Wiener Festwochen/A.
