Your day at the MAK will focus on image production and image reception.

To begin with, our art education team will guide you through the exhibitions HELMUT LANG. SÉANCE DE TRAVAIL 1986–2005, BARBARA PFLAUM AND INTERNATIONAL COMPANIONS, and THOMAS DEMAND. Then it's off behind the scenes. You can choose one of three groups:

1 / Insights into the photo studio: Take a look behind the scenes at the MAK photo studio and take your own photos in a prepared setting. Of course, you will be advised by professionals Christian Mendez and Stella Riesland.

2 / Insights into paper restoration: Experience everyday life in the MAK workshops up close and get hands-on with our restorer Anita Gausterer-Diregger.

3 / Insights into textile restoration: Discover the world of fabrics together with restorer Edith Oberhumer. Fibers and threads, twists and weaves—which animal and plant materials can be used to make textiles, and how are textile surfaces formed? A look through the microscope takes us into an unknown world!

After lunch, we continue to the workshop on alteration tailoring, Edition Helmut Lang—lookbooks and accessories for your anti-fast-fashion collection with MAK Art Education.
