Toolbox for Artists’ Books

Pop-up Exhibition

Every Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm, the Toolbox for Artists’ Books pops up at the DIREKTION FÜR ALLE! at the MAK – Museum of Applied Arts. In the context of the EU project Creative Europe/AbeX, nine emerging artists from Austria, Romania, and Serbia will be presenting their experimental artists’ books. Under the guidance of book artist and designer Sven Völker, a series of exciting works was created in the MAK Winter Atelier, demonstrating how versatile the book can be as an artistic medium—between image, text, and material.

The pop-up exhibition invites visitors to discover new forms of artistic exchange and to experience the museum as a “toolbox” for creative ideas and methods.
