For the most part, we no longer notice the beauty of many things we use in everyday life. Yet many of these utilitarian objects are not only functional, their form and design are also very beautiful.

We are looking for the most beautiful objects you use. Send us a photo of your object, taken against a white or black background, via Direct Message or post it on Instagram under the hashtag #whybeautymatters. Please include a short description and your Instagram handle.

We will share the most beautiful pictures on the MAK’s Instagram account (@mak_vienna). Winners will receive a special edition Sagmeister & Walsh silkscreen-printed poster or a wonderful exhibition poster.

The competition has no connection whatsoever to Instagram and is in no way sponsored, organized, or supported by Instagram. The sole point of contact and responsible party is the MAK. Participation in the competition entails making a photograph available via Direct Message or posting it under the hashtag #whybeautymatters on Instagram, at the latest by 17 February 2019. The personal data submitted within the framework of the competition will be processed by the MAK exclusively in order to notify the winners. Such data will not be passed on to third parties.
