VALIE EXPORT centers her body as a provocation to unveil traditionally private discourse through direct interventions in public space. This exhibition, VALIE EXPORT’s first solo presentation in Los Angeles since 2001, reexamines these seminal works within a contemporary lens through the presentation of works from the series Body Configuration. Parallel to the exhibition, a performance program featuring responses by Los Angeles based performance artists is developed by curator Chloe Flores.
