Josef Hoffmann Museum, Svobody Square 263, Brtnice near Jihlava, CZ
Renowned architect and designer Josef Hoffmann as a Messenger of Beauty. The new exhibition introduces Hoffmann’s life and work; he is presented as an inspiration for contemporary artists, and his parental home with its garden and barn are also highlighted. Visitors will be introduced to the exhibition right in the courtyard entry by a geometric intervention of Esther Stocker referring to Hoffmann’s liking for squares. The museum features new models of Hoffmann’s buildings, his treasured design pieces, and works by contemporary artists.
