MAK-it! Softies

with artist Noushin Redjaian

Noushin Redjaian lives and works as an artist and fashion designer in Vienna. Her art addresses the transcendent nature of symbol language and its preservation. Inspired by the history of culture and poetry, she forms objects and sculptures. In the SOFTIES workshop, we will together with the artist try to create small Soft Sculptures. We will glue, sew, and embroider. We will learn how concrete forms can be found or poetic figurations can be formed with different kinds of material and soft filling. Before, we will gain a short insight into the exhibition HARD/SOFT: Textiles and Ceramics in Contemporary Art with the focus on Soft Sculpture.
